Children's Ministries,
Diane Benson - Coordinator |
Here at Grace our goal is to provide opportunities for children to learn about God, come to know Him and grow in that relationship in an age appropriate and fun-filled environment. Through our various ministries we are grounding them in God's Word, encouraging them to live Christ-like lives and teaching them to be an example and witness to those around them.
AWANA - Diane Benson, leader Awana meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:15 during the school year. Children 3 years old - 6th grade learn that God is real, that he loves them, and that He expressed that love through Jesus Christ. They also learn how to apply the truths of the Bible to their daily lives. With the goal of reaching boys and girls for Christ and training them to serve Him, Awana has a strong emphasis on Bible memorization and understanding. In handbook time, leaders come alongside to encourage and guide clubbers to develop a Bible-based view of how to know and serve God. During Council time clubbers gather for a Bible message, singing, announcements and awards. Game Time features individual and team competition and unleashes the kids' natural energy and enthusiasm

Women's Ministries,
Julia Forshee - Committee President

We have a wonderful group of women at GBC, who are eager to grow spiritually, willing to serve, faithful in prayer, and committed to our church family. It is a joy to work together to encourage and edify other women, both individually and in groups. Other than the groups listed below, the women's ministries attend retreats, host baby and bridal showers, and are involved with church-wide responsibilities. We are most encouraged by the "ministry" we see going on in homes and lives as women reach out to one another. We pray that all the women at GBC will be growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Apples of Gold is a program where women interact together to encourage, mentor and teach as Titus 2:3-4 mandates. This program involves cooking demonstrations, Bible Study and fellowship together during a meal.
